Early Coverage Program
We understand that the approval process through Blue Cross can take time. To ensure continued access to your medication without interruption, our Early Coverage Program provides qualifying Wellness Warriors with a 30-day supply of medical cannabis at no costs while approval is being processed.
Eligibility:
- Valid K Number
- Released from service
- Awarded Condition from Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and noted on medical document
- Confirmation of total grams prescribed
Warrior Wellness Pricing
Veterans with eligible coverage receive their medical cannabis at no out-of-pocket cost. Tilray Medical caps pricing for veteran patients at $6.00 per gram and covers any amount exceeding this limit. We also offer access to a comprehensive selection of medical cannabis products, including select adult-use offerings, all tailored to support your wellness needs.
Exclusive pricing discounts are available for veterans and families who do not have eligible coverage, including:
- Non-pensioned veterans who have not received a disability pension or award from VAC
- Veterans without health coverage through VAC programs
- Active military members
- Spouses of Tilray Medical veterans

Early Product Access
As a Warrior Wellness Veteran, you will receive early access to select new product releases, formats, and high-potency flower, helping you explore more options that may fit your prescribed treatment plan.
To help ensure uninterrupted access to your medication, we offer flexible and reliable ordering solutions tailored to your needs. These options are designed to support continuity of care—especially during peak periods, holidays, or when your schedule demands added convenience.
Vaporizer Coverage Support
Veterans with a prescription can receive up to $400 every three calendar years towards dried cannabis vaporizers. Our Patient
Benefits Team will obtain authorization and directly bill Medavie Blue Cross—ensuring no out-of-pocket expense for you.
If your vaporizer is damaged or broken, we’ll replace the broken parts or provide you with a new one, free of charge. Plus, you’ll receive a complimentary 510 battery for use with 510 vape cartridges to ensure you always have what you need for your treatment.

Register online
Click Get Started to enter your email and create your account. Once you’re in, you’ll be prompted to complete your profile or registration. When prompted, make sure to enter your K number so we can identify you as a veteran.
Step 2
Submit your medical document
Ask your healthcare provider to prepare a medical document that notes your VAC-awarded condition or diagnosis.

Step 3
Fast-Track Approval & Welcome Call
Our Patient Benefits Team will register your medical document within 24 hours and submit your coverage application to Medavie Blue Cross.
